Arrived today in the idyllic tropical paradise Boracay Island, where I will be spending the next week unwinding with the Mrs. and hanging out on arguably the worlds most gorgeous tropical beach, snorkeling, and drinking San Miguel. However, this shall of course not deter us from our obsession with the great game of baseball, and on this note I ask our readers to check out two excellent references about Pinoy Baseball: Baseball Philippines and Pinoy Baseball Blog.
Judging from the rather bad-ass looking mini-buses in Cebu with NBA logos painted on the sides of them and local sports press, basketball is the most popular major team sport here, at least media-wise. Give it time (At least its not soccer). In the mean time, let’s take time to salute the Filipinos that made it to the show: Bobby Chouinard, Bobby Balcena (1956 Cincinnati Reds), Benny Agbayani (1998-2001 New York Mets, 2002 Colorado Rockies, 2002 Boston Red Sox) and Chris Aguila (2004-present Florida Marlins).

Treating the lady to a big night of Boracay blogging, eh? Don’t pull out all the stops too early in the trip bro.
