After a seething fit of jealousy at Aaron’s new gig with the vaunted Major League Baseball Trade Rumors, I decided I am not to be outdone by the indomitable force that is Shinsano, and got me a gig at the Taipei Times, where I will be working as a contributing sportswriter. My initial project is covering the 2008 IBAF Final Olympic Qualifier, and my first piece can be seen here. Between covering the tournament for the IBAF, the Taipei Times, and scouting for the Twins, it’s been a whirlwind of sleepless nights, deadlines, reports, and watching more baseball than one human probably should in a day.
