East Windup Chronicle friend and occasional illustrator Ted, has his own blog — called Rosterized, for which he rolls out teams of various shapes, sizes and themes, always complimented by his illustrations, essays, and even the occasional podcast.
Currently he’s working on “Team #2,” which concerns baseball movies. Starting at 1B is none other than Jack Elliot, played by Tom Selleck in “Mr. Baseball.”
I bet I’ve had four or five emails from readers, telling me they enjoy the site, but that their knowledge of Japanese baseball (and thereby Asian baseball) begins and ends with Mr. Baseball. Fair enough, I’ve always considered it an underrated movie.

I always want to make an anima/manga all-stars team xD, but I think I must wait until I read Adachi’s Touch and H2 :P…

Mr. Baseball used to be on all the time in the US. Haven’t seen it in Korea since I’ve come here. I think it’s a good movie, and pretty smart, too. Way better than the other “white people in Japan” movie, “Lost in Translation.” That was a very poorly done film.

You know, there’s not a lot of people who would agree with that statement, but I do. I really disliked that movie.
Except the music.
