Word out of L.A. is that oft-injured fireballer Kuo Hong-Chih may be ready to join the L.A. Dodgers playoff roster in the (sorry Aaron) likely event that the Dodgers advance to the NLCS. Kuo, who broke out this year with a 2.14 E.R.A and 96 K’s in 80 innings pitched, would add depth to an already well-rounded Dodger pen.
Kuo, on the heels of his fourth elbow surgery, has a mound session scheduled for Sunday and if all goes well might see action against the winner of the Phillies/Brewers series. (Note to Formosan high school managers: Maybe its time to start thinking about using pitchers less often during their high school careers.)
