There’s an interview/article about me in today’s JoongAng Daily. Read it at your risk. I spent most of the interview talking sh*t about the readers of this site.
Naw. Mostly it’s about my (limited) experiences scouting in Korea and about this here East Windup Chronicle.
Actually, after making a joke about the readers I’d like to now thank you. Seriously. This site isn’t even a year old. It’s grown really fast and is still very fun for me to write. Thanks for tuning in.

Believe it or not, today was my first day receiving the JoongAng after discovering your blog last week. The article was really good.
As a foreigner who loves baseball in Korea, I just wanted to say thanks. It’s great to read about the league in English. I’m glad I finally found somewhere to do that.
Quick question: what happened to Sunny Kim (김선우) of Doosan? I know he had a rough start to the season, but I haven’t been able to find out where he ended up (I just know I haven’t seen him pitching in a long while).
Thanks and congrats on the article.

Thanks for the kind words. Sunny Kim was demoted to the Bears’ minor league affiliate about a month ago. He is trying to get back in pitching shape, basically.
Kim said after his first start here, he put a lot of pressure on himself and forced himself through grueling off-day throwing programs, throwing 200-300 balls a day. That ended up hurting his shoulder and he was hitting only high 130 km (mid-80s mph) on his fastball.
He first didn’t want to report to the minors but the manager convinced him to take it easy for a bit.
Hope this helps.

Thanks Kyle.
Sunny has been an interesting case. Hard to expect guys to return home and just light it up, I guess. I saw him pitch a couple games and he really looked lost.

Thanks for the updates, guys. I’ve been a Doosan fan for a a while now. After the sweep tonight, I’m feeling like there are lots of reason to be excited about going to the ballpark. However, with the two “big signings” from the off-season (Rath and Kim) gone, I guess there are some holes in the starting rotation. I hope that whatever is plaguing Sunny Kim will get worked out.
Anyway, I’ll avoid rambling on, but thanks to both of you for the update. I appreciate it.

Any time you get mentioned at mlbtraderumors or baseball think factory, I’m sure you will get a lot more one time (or more) visits.
