I’m sure everyone is wondering what music the guy who writes for the mostly Asian baseball blog is listening to. Well, without getting too far into some list of hundreds of records that no one will remember a year from now, here’s a song from one album I listened to all the dimdamn year.
Great cover, no? Some reference points — first and foremost; The Beach Boys. There’s some Lee Scratch Perry dub action happening as well. Senses tingling? How about My Bloody Valentine? Well, anyway, you can listen for yourself. I think one of the reasons you’ll find this album on the top of several album of the year lists (like here and here) is becuase there aren’t many reference points at all.
