Last year, like many people in Korea, I woke up at 5:30 a.m. and trekked up a hill in the freezing cold to watch the first sunrise over the sea.

This year I was in bed fast asleep at sunrise, woke up at 10 a.m., found a photo series on Chosun.com and posted it to the mostly Asian baseball blog I co-author.
A much better start for 2008.
