More Good Times for the Team Formerly Known as the Unicorns

The mystery behind the new owners of the team formerly known as the Hyundai Unicorns is clearing up…

Unfortunately the identity clues have nothing to do with a company Web page, profile, or even some stolen letterhead, but rather the miserly, tight-fisted methods the Centennial company is gasing Team No. 8 up with.

Reporting to you from Jeju Island, where Team No. 8 is having spring training:

At a corner of the outfield, players changed their clothes because there was no locker room. There were no sunshades and the strong wind scattered the red dust on the mound into the air. With no restroom in the field, a player slipped behind the fences during a break.

It was cold. The temperature went up to six degree Celsius during the day thanks to sunshine, but the wind was strong. Players wore a thick jumper and zipped it up to their chin. Some players wore woolen caps. Others complained that only the scenery is like Hawaii.

Sounds like a good precursor to a 130+ game season, doesn’t it? I’d sure be happy and excited to go to work.

what’s the worst ever season recorded by a KBO team? could we possibly be seeing a contender for that title right in front of our eyes? I’m glad that KBO remained an 8 team league, but this operation sure sounds very minor league.
