Don “Ears” Mossi, forever the #1 on baseball’s all-ugly team.  It’s a little known fact that Mossi’s .990 career fielding percentage was the highest of all-time at the time of his retirement.  EWC salutes the legend.

    How about Andy Etchebarren, the catcher in the early 70’s or Jim Kern, the pitcher? I can still picture those scary closeups on their cards.

    Both gems indeed. I miss the days of baseball cards like that. Cards really went all wrong when they started getting too glossy and expensive, that’s about when I bailed on the whole thing. Well, I also discovered that girls were awesome but that’s a whole different can of worms.
