Since we’ve had small rash of fans making dashes for home here in Korea I thought I’d post this as a compare and contrast.
Here’s a guy who in celebrating his recent graduation from NYU, which for some reason was at Yankee Stadium, jumped onto the field and attempted to cut across the field so he could run from third to home. That’s right, third to home. He made it halfway down the line before being slammed to the turf by a security guard.
Compare this with the efforts in Korea by Mr. Clean, who did a lap and a half, and the American-Pie-looking-guy- with-the-Celtic-symbol-on-his-calf, who did a full lap.
“I told them it’s nothing like that,” he said. “It wasn’t an act under the influence of anything except happiness and spontaneity.”
He said it’ll be a great story for his “grandkids.”
Lopez said he had no idea what he was about to do when he arrived at the park.
Lopez is also a Mets fan.

Just so you know, Washington Square Park is currently undergoing renovation, so instead of having graduation there, as is the tradition, Yankee Stadium was announced as the alternate site.
Very interesting site btw. It’s my first time here, but I’ll definitely take some time to look around.
