Apparently not everyone in Ulsan was thrilled with Lee Myung-bak’s landslide victory last night. I spotted this while waiting for a bus this morning.
As far as I know one can be arrested for this in South Korea. Then again, I saw some high school kids tearing down and dancing on a similar sign this afternoon. A police car went by and the kids absolutely lost their sh*t and hid in some bushes, but didn’t pursue.
Here’s another local angle on Lee’s win.

This is my third election in Korea. I’ve seen this kind of vandalism increse. I noticed a lot more of it this year than five years ago.
In my area in Jeonju someone lit one of the posters on fire. It only burned canidates 10-12, but I was….surprised to say the least. Peeps gotta keep it under control!

I arrived in Korea just after the last election so this was my first. I saw a lot around Ulsan…mostly stuff like the Lee pic here, most of it seeming as if it were part of a drunken rage.
