Well, you aren’t the first person to read something in haste because you were looking at pictures of Uee and you won’t be the last. I just did it yesterday.

I’m not sure if she would romanize it that way or not. That’s how I’ve seen it in other places. She should though, it looks cool in English I think.

Anyway, in the Korean sports media (since they are also the entertainment media), I would dare say there’s at least one story about her father. It seems like all the reporters bored out of their minds because they were sent to cover the Heroes just wind up asking about her to him.

How can you write an entire post about Uee (Is that how she romanizes it? I always thought it would be Yui) and not mention that her father was a former KBO baseball player and currently is the baserunning coach for the Nexen (or whatever) Heroes. I mean this is a baseball blog first and foremost, no?

Anyway, the guy is name Kim Sung-Gab. If you didn’t already know. This is why in the photo you have above she was throwing out the first pitch for the Heroes some time last season.

As much as I hate FIFA, I still think the IOC is worse. The politics that goes on within the IOC seems to be even murkier than within FIFA (no small feat), and their crackdown on ‘intellectual property rights’ fills me with enough rage to power a thousand suns.

I hadn’t thought of Bobby Heenan for a long time. I looked up his wikipedia page. Looks like he had throat cancer in 2002, and released this statement at the time….
