I’ll admit, I’ve always been one of those idiots into girls that play instruments in bands. Drummers? Don’t get me started. Cute Chinese girls playing drums? I’d better stop writing and start linking.
This is a clip by Sexy Beijing, which isn’t a porn site, but a more of a documentary production company run by an expat in China, highlighting two female drummers that are currently part of the a Beijing music scene. They give some background on themselves, talk about each other a little, bitch about bands that sell out, and get into what it’s like to be a female drummer in China. Fantastic. They also namedrop Blonde Redhead, Sonic Youth and Joy Division, to give you an idea of where they’re coming from musically.
