Rumor has it the weather has been less than ideal this week for some of you scouts out there, so here’s some links to keep you guys busy during the rain delays while you get your hustle on:

The Assimilated Negro brings us word that “A survey of more than 1,000 men in India has concluded that condoms made according to international sizes are too large for a majority of Indian men.”

Been thinking about stomping the shit out of someone but don’t wanna leave a trace? A Chinese police manual tells you just how to do it.

While we’re on the topic, leaked videos of Chinese police beating and torturing Tibetan monks are surfacing.

Meanwhile, computer spies have broken into the Pentagon’s $300 billion Joint Strike Fighter project. Guess where they’re from?

The always prescient Michael Turton breaks down the symbolic meaning of some of Ma Ying-Jeou’s recent political overtures in the Wall Street Journal.

Chinese students weigh in on Jackie Chan’s latest fascist leaning rants…and you might be surprised by their answers. Actually, no you won’t. However, some Hong Kong legislators aren’t trying to hear it. Hopefully Chan will just shut his pie hole one day.

Apologies to TAN for more shameless biting, but latest is that Korean Abdul-Jabar has sparked a full on scavenger hunt in Williamsburg. (Ed. note: You know, contrary to what you’ve been reading, Williamsburg isn’t all hipsters in vintage leather coats wearing big sunglasses ironically. There’s some pretty cool places there. One of them Being Teddy’s, a decidedly unpretensious Irish pub great for watching ball games and eating nachos).

See, not everything coming from the Bronx is odious: Here’s the usually tepid-on-the-cultural front NY Times with an excellent piece on the one and only Moodie’s Records in the Bronx. Go there. Now.

Do expat men suck? Apparently a certain segment of the population believes that a lot of expat guys are losers that couldn’t get a date back home. Are you part of that crew? Well, then, here’s your chance to vent a little with the girls at a blog called F*CK . Don’t just sit on the sidelines and seethe bitterly, comment along with Chinese ladies’ horror stories about dating balding expat guys. The tagline: “Could the men living in China get any more retarded? Here are the horror stories from the front lines.”

Remember how fly Black Moon’s Gotcha Opin Remix was? Of course you do. Relive it. This is what hip hop sounds like. Grab a pen and pencil, take notes.

God damn it, where’s Aaron? Oh, I should have known better.

Had a rough week with the ladies? Here’s some wise advice from the Guru and Gang Starr from back in the day.

The Christian Science Monitor with a completely insane piece of journalism recommending that the US back a Chinese overthrow of North Korea.

Just about had it with Seoul? Don’t lose faith just yet.

It’s been a long time since much in hip-hop got me excited, but even the rap-averse among us will have a hard time not getting chills watching Jay-Z and Young Jeezy live at a recent concert, celebrating Obama becoming president with rhymes. Check out a mixed-race audience of young adults waving American flags while Young Jeezy proclaims “I’m so proud to be black right now!!!” mid-verse. (Warning: Contains some bad words rappers say so if you’re at work maybe wait til you get home).

Regardless of your political stance, its hard not to appreciate how unthinkable the moment where those two acts collided would have been just a few months ago. As would the following lines from Jay: “My president is black/in fact hes half white/So even in a racist mind hes half right/So if you got a racist mind its alright/ My president is black…. but his house is all white!!! Rosa Parks sat so Martin Luther could walk/ Martin Luther walked so Barack Obama could run/ Barack Obama ran so all the children could fly…”

Since we’ve taken a time out to bring the funk, also check out Royal Flush from Outkast if you haven’t already. It’s been stuck in my head for a week, and it should be stuck in yours as well.

Your day or life won’t be complete until you watch this. And wouldn’t you know it, Kool Moe Dee and Special K from the Treacherous Three just happen to show up around 3:50 because “there’s a battle brewin’”. I’mma step off. Word.

(The whole thing is marvelous but if you skim through it, make sure to catch the initial interview with the dancers, the nerdy guy poppin at 0:25 and the awkward hip-hop handshakes from the host around 3:35.)
