I don’t normally feel all that affected by the passings of people I don’t know, or that I hear via news reports, but my heart sank when I read about the passing of Bill Kapoun.
There was a considerable effort made throughout the Korean blog community to raise money for Kapoun and his family during last week, and I’m proud to say the post I did received a couple hundred hits over the past week or so. I’m guessing at least a few of those went ahead and donated money at www.billkapoun.com. The last I read the effort had raised $41,000. His hospital bills still totalled some $80,000, so if you’ve been on the fence about donating you’re still encouraged to do so.
Nothing else I can really say. My condolences go out to his family and friends.
