I admired the fact that he went over to the US, still faced some of the controversy he dealt with at home, and then went out and pitched really well for a couple years. I was surprised he didn't create more controversy in the U.S. I remember when the story came out....it just came and went and he went on with his career. As I remember I heard a few cracks on sports talk shows, but that was all. Hopefully enough time has passed that he won't run into trouble in Japan. Interesting guy for sure.
