Shingo Takatsu Becomes Fourth (or Fifth) Japanese-born Player to Play in Korea

Former Chicago White Sox closer and NPB all-times saves leader Shingo Takatsu has signed with the Woori Heroes of the Korean Baseball League. His contract is worth a reported $120,000 and he has already been installed as the closer of the team.

Astro Boy Celebrates the Opening of a New Subway Line in Tokyo

Someone really loves both Astro Boy and the Tokyo Metro. This would be a 10 x 7 ft. piece of pixel art made from 138,000 recycled Tokyo Metro. It’s on temporary display at the Shinjuku Takashimaya Department Store (2nd floor) to mark the opening of Tokyo’s new Fukutoshin subway line.
