In the first inning of Tuesday’s contest the Chunichi Dragons rapped out seven straight hits leading to seven runs to put Game 3 away quickly and take a 2-1 lead in the Japan Series.
The 9-1 tally was one better than Game 2 and suddenly Trey Hillman’s Nippon Ham Fighters are looking punchless outside of Darvishland.
Tyrone Woods started the onslaught with a single […]

It doesn’t even feel like four days let alone four games played during six days, but less than a week ago it looked like Doosan might be headed for a sweep of its mighty winged dragon-like foe.
But it wasn’t to be just as it did all through the KBO regular season the Wyvrens blazed a […]

It’s Cook vs. Lester tonight, a matchup that no one can really analyze given the amount of time off both these guys have had. Lester looked nice in his relief appearance in the ALCS, but Cook hasn’t been seen in months.I was kind of right last night on the type of game we’d see, and […]

But he still lost.
Fernando Seguignol hit a 0-2 fastball into the seats in right-center for a 3-run HR. The shot was proceeded the only two walks Kawakami would yield in the game and it was plenty of room for […]

Grinning and hopping around the mound in a way reminiscent of a young Kim Byung-hyun, Friday’s starter for SK Kim Gwang-hyun dominated the Doosan Bears, throwing 7 1/3 inn of one-hit ball, leading the Wyverns to a 4-0 win.
SK’s Kim (who is just 19) was dazzling, allowing just one hit to Lee Jeong-wook, and striking out nine. […]
